Our Pastor
Pastor Stephanie Nelson loves walking alongside people as they seek to live out the truth of the Gospel in their lives. From a young age, she was always curious about the Bible and was consistently taking part in the life of a church, by volunteering in the nursery, for Vacation Bible School and Sunday School, and participating in the church choir.
Before becoming a pastor, she was a full-time graphic designer while serving as a worship leader at the church she grew up in. God gave her a heart for the Church and that heart turned into developing her love of teaching the Bible in all kinds of settings – from headlining conferences to teaching local Bible studies and workshops. She has served in the ECC for the last eight years, mentors a group of pastors in the Midwest Conference, and also teaches a preaching course for fellow pastors on the transformative nature of sermon preparation.
Pastor Stephanie received her undergraduate degree in Written and Rhetorical Communications from Sterling College in Sterling, KS and a Master’s in Educational Ministry from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis. She is ordained to Word and Sacrament in the Evangelical Covenant Church.
