The Christian Education Board is responsible for the educational program of the church, its curriculum, teachers, counselors and leaders. The board offers Sunday School for ages three through adult.  Sunday School runs from September through June.  There are different opportunities offered for adults during the Sunday School hour, ranging from Bible studies to a new members class.  During the year there are several opportunities for fellowship.  The younger children have a Mother’s Day brunch, and the year ends with a Sunday School picnic for all.  The CE Board also hosts several Family Nights; last year these events included a Harvest Party, a Camp Night, and a family game night.   

Also during the year, the Covenant Church is home to a very active youth program.  Every Sunday night the church is filled with kids from 7^th to 12^th grade.  The junior high students are part of a class called Discipleship and Confirmation.  They are preparing for their Confirmation at the end of 8^th grade.  It isn’t all study – the group enjoys games and fellowship as well.  The senior high school kids are part of the Covenant High Youth Group (CHYG.)  A very dedicated group of youth leaders leads CHYG with discussion, activities, and just plain fun!   

During the summer, opportunities for Christian Education continue with Vacation Bible School and Camp Squanto.  Each summer the Covenant Church and the Congregational Church combine to offer a Vacation Bible School for children in Thomaston.  VBS runs for one week in the summer.  Each week has a different theme and is a fun-filled time of songs, skits, and crafts.  Camp Squanto is located in New Hampshire. It is a Covenant Church Camp offering week-long camping experiences for the different age groups.  The CE Board is an enthusiastic supporter of Camp Squanto and offers camperships to help all children attend camp.
